Hi there. On we go. The cabin is nearing completion and I already started some other segments of the build. I still am very pleased with this. It is a well-made model, everything fits perfectly and looks very good. Nice work,...

And a happy new year. Hopefully a lot better than last year. On we go with the Zil. It now is detail work, but we started with placing the outer layer of the cabin over the insides. Originally it is one piece but I notic...

Imagine for a moment you’re a cosmonaut. Returning to earth after becoming the first crew to perform a space walk, you you make an unexpected emergency landing somewhere far away on the Siberian taiga,in the middle of the woo...

A little update. I have closed up the cabin. The inner parts of the side walls are on, and this one also needed a good look at the drawings and some patience. But I got there. The parts close like inverted Super car gull ...

Hi there. Here's the follow-up of what is going to be a much longer build than I first anticipated but a very enjoyable one. Anyway, it really is nice to build another kind of vehicle other than spacecraft for a change. T...

2016 has claimed its umpteenth famous death. John Glenn, the last living member of the Original Seven Mercury astronauts, has passed away today. He was 95. A hell of an age considering all the things he did. Glenn served in...

Introduction
How did PK get here? he has a weblog. He accidentally pressed a button on his screen and accidentally ended up in G+. It wasn't as bad as he hoped it would be so he kind of stayed.

So, PK builds paper models. Take a look at his blog, if you like. It is mostly space-oriented but he also sometimes builds more earthy subjects.
He also sometimes puts photos on Flickr. That's here.
PK really likes photography, science, nature, spaceflight related subjects and almost all aircraft. Some of my favourites are the Su-27 family, The TSR2, F9F Panther, P51, Spitfire, and the Yak-130. (Just not the F-35 Pork Chop. No, really. It's just a money pit. And it is butt-ugly.)

Sometimes, PK is grumpy. And old. He is from 1970. That's not really old. But he kind of is. Sometimes. Lots of modern, modern-worldly stuff annoys him. He hates his smartphone. He has a distrust of social media. Yet he is on G+. Strange guy. He might be considered tolerant. But is he? Hmm. Perhaps he is. He tends to be a bit of a misanthrope but he is too well-behaved to let it take over. PK likes Tajines and Sole on his plate. That and his SO make him happy. And cats. Dogs, too.

Luckily, PK also likes a lot of music. No, he loves it. Rather a lot. Amongst his recurrent favourites are St. Vincent, Florence + the Machine, Amanda Palmer, Calexico, the Cardigans, New Pornographers, older stuff like Pink Floyd and Genesis (the 70's works), David Bowie, Beatles, Roxy Music, Abba, Zappa and lots inbetween. PK also likes Bach's Cello suites, Well-tempered Clavier, Mozart's piano sonatas (Mitsuko Uchida played them wonderfully), Liszt, Beethoven, Schubert, well, lots more. Big collection. Vinyl, CD, digital.

In real life PK is a documentary maker. He works together with the love of his life and he makes films of which some have won awards. Unbelievable but hey, it's true. Very different films, too. About architects, an alderman, a collector of cartoons, artists, musicians, who knows what will come next!
PK lives in the Netherlands. Not in Holland. Phew, not in Holland.

There you have it in quite a large nutshell.
