I won this book in a contest and never posted a review on it. I was going through my collection of books to read before a few of the newer books I want to read come out and I realized that I had this to reread. This book overall was a really good book, I didnt unfortunately read the first book so I was a bit lost when I started to read it. But in the end of the 2nd read I thoroughly enjoyed it and have reccomended it to a few of my friends who are interested in the same genre books I enjoy. All in all this book to me is a 4 of 5 stars.

Erynn and Adena are still on the run from Lord Caden and Marik. Every moment could be their last. However, Soren/Krystalix has given Erynn a gift, a gift that could save her and her friends if she only can figure out how to use it.

Quick paced and exciting.

I won this book through the Goodreads First Reads program, and I was super excited. I got my hands on the first book in the series from the library, and I’m glad I did because this book picks up where the last one left off!
Right off the bat, I feel like mentioning that this book is quite a bit heavier and longer than the first in the series. Having set down the first and picked up the second, it was obvious that this was where the story really gets started.
I read on the author’s page that this series is going to be a long one, which was pretty obvious by the end. This book is a lot of world building and character introduction, and I still feel like we haven’t really hit the action. There are bits where it gets intriguing, but for the most part this feels like a lead up to something bigger.
I like Erynn. I really like Erynn. She’s fourteen, and I feel like her age shows appropriately. She’s just as confused and caught off guard as everyone around her. It makes you feel like you’re actually there with her and learning all of this alongside her.
This series isn’t finished yet, and that’s obvious by the way this book ends. I feel like I was left hanging a bit, because of the unanswered questions that are everywhere. Which is a good thing, because that’s what encourages a reader to grab for the next book!

Very good i just wish there was a little romance in it. other than that it was easy to get into and love the elf and dragon. i wish that there was a little more of both.

This book was really good. As soon as I got going on reading it, I couldn't put it down. Now I need to know what's going to happen to the ladies of this story. I highly recommend this book, if you're into the middle ages and dragons.

I really enjoyed this book and would recommend to others

I really liked this even though it's YA. I was all set to get the second in the series when this one ended abruptly. I should say stopped, it didn't end. I hate books that don't end at the ending. I feel cheated. It's my rule to never buy the next in the series when the first doesn't end. Too bad, I really would have liked to know what happens to the girls and I like dragon stories.

I liked this book and am all about fantasy and dragons!! My local library doesn't carry the next one tho. :( Thanks for the chance to read this book

Excellent read. Very engaging and entertaining from the get go. It left a lot of unanswered loose ties for book 2 but I'll be patient. Very good read.
