Brilliant old skool country pub with a great atmosphere, really friendly staff, decent beers and wine. Food's good too, although their Sunday Roast is not up to the same standard; whilst the meat is normally a really good cut and cooked to perfection I think mashed potato and steamed veg is a cop out.

My boyfriend and I went here last night and were really disappointed because, quite frankly, the food was crap and over priced. They are basically charging a premium price for a burger you'd get off a burger van in a lay-by or B&Q car park (maybe that's unfair, perhaps the burger van's burgers would be better than Dean's Diner). Here's the breakdown of why I would never eat at Dean's Diner again: - the burger was thin and definitely not home made and not cooked medium (they didn't ask how we wanted them cooked but that might be because you can't cook a cheap burger any less than well done). - the burger bun tasted like it had been defrosted in a microwave - the chips were just tasteless, frozen starch sticks - the onion rings were OK but there was only 3 of them On the plus side - the service was really good and the actual diner looks brilliant, just a shame they have absolutely no idea how to make a decent burger. Gel this place on.
