Tell me Louisville, why should I vote today?

Will it change the American inequality? Will it change 'Washington's inefficiecy'?

+David Thomas True, but it's still a two-party system.  I mean, you just don't see near the amount of clout or money with all other parties.  And I don't think that's a good thing.

While I came to Louisville in 1969, I found this a fascinating article. It seems that this is the type of discussion that we, as a Louisville Community, need to have.

What say you?

+Tom Denning  Thanks. A very interesting article. I lived in Louisville during the 90's and missed those particular days there, but I recall as a young girl who graduated near Lexington in 1972, that there was the same racial leftover's in Lexington and Cincinnati. This was not talked about alot but nevertheless, I do believe it was from the previous generation. I was in the 5th. grade when schools were integrated and I thought it was great and I know so many good, wellmeaning people of both color who were so opposed to it. I understand that '' change '' for them was hard, but I sure don't understand why now. in 2013, this would ever be an issue. It gave me 2 of the best friends of color in my life back then.

What does the Google Plus Louisville think should be done with a) members who post PURELY advertizing of products (NOT of their making) and b) who in their G+ ABOUT have no apparent connection to Louisville.

Especially To my G+ Louisville, Ky Community Members;

"An enjoyable evening spent among monks, seminarians, and friends last night. Following a pleasant dinner at St. Meinrad's with conversation over good food and wine, a new building was inaugurated in an ancient ritual of water and blessing. St. Meinrad's is a treasure, and only 73 miles from home in Louisville's Highlands."  Ken Stammerman

Growing up in the village of Saint Meinrad, Indiana, I was glad to get away as a youngster.  Those infernal bells ringing at all hours.  As an old man I am ready to go back when the time comes, as my ashes are to be spread on the old homestead.  Actually anywhere on the abbey grounds would do, as my great, great grandparents sold their cabin to the monks in 1854, which became the first Saint Meinrad Monastery.  +Tom Denning

This area is a great place to visit, http://www.saintmeinrad.org/the-monastery/ with "Santa Claus Land" - now Holiday World, Lincoln's Boyhood Home, and https://www.facebook.com/FerdinandOSB, even several wineries in the area.

Mrs. Spivak is correct. Bee colonies have been dying out at a greater rate in the last seven years and over the last twenty at a slower but still faster pace than the norm.
 France and many European countries had been experiencing the same condition far earlier than the US.. They found the answer.
But we have suppressed it. Read Michael Schackers, : a Spring Without Bees".
 France has and followed his recomendations  on GMOs and the use of Roundup and other toxins. Frances and most of the other Europeans countries experiencing these mass hive die outs, have now found their Bee populations rebounding at an accelerated rate.
  GMOs and Roundup have been banned in Europe, India and many other countries. North and South America are the continental hold outs as of now.
 Bees are not the main reason for their banning the use of these products. Read their reports on cancer research of GMOs. Did you know our FDA has not had one research done on the effects of GMOs? Read the book or a summarization to find what are killing our Bees.
