My profile was stolen , you should check to see if yours was too.
ATTENTION: Your Google+ Profile might have been ripped off

If you are a long term Google+ user chances are very high that your profile has been ripped off by a site called friendsonomy.com.

Here is my fake profile they had created based on what they were able to gather from Google+: http://friendsonomy.com/id/113892533324638730943#
What they can't read from your public profile is filled out with bogus data, e.g. almost everybody on this page is claimed to have an Age of 33, lives in the US, is 5 years in business and has an MBA. Depending on what you share publicly other data may have been filled in here.

Want to see whether you are affected, too? Just enter the URL http://friendsonomy.com/id/ into your browser and add your Google+ profile ID at the end or Google for "friendsonomy <your name"

What can you do against that? Unfortunately there are neither contact information nor any other possibilities to contact the owners of this site available. A whois search for the site (whois.net/whois/friendsonomy.com) points to privacyprotect.org - a service that anonymizes hides the owners. It's up to you to decide what the reasons of the owners are to do that. So the only way to complain about a site ripping off your profile information to create fake profile is by using the contact forms on privacyprotect.org, where you can contact the domain owner as well as report abuse. I did both.

Thanks to +Kerry White for pointing out (he's a victim, too: https://plus.google.com/u/0/101423842955540149014/posts/AW4y3HxZWDA). Please share this post, make this abuse of your name and picture known, and report this site using the options above.

+Vic Gundotra, can you please help us, e.g. by blocking the domain friendsonomy.com from referencing our profile pictures on their sites. Friendsonomy is not copying our pictures, they are referencing them directly from Google+, so it's easy to at least block our images from appearing on their site.
