When my Nikon D800 died the 2nd time I was in Derbyshire taking photos along side a river with my camera on a tripod when a dog ran into my camera and knocked it into the river. The camera was submerged and ceased to work. Whilst the D800 was out of action I was using my backup camera a trusty ...

A Highland road night time long exposure on our recent road trip through the Scottish Highlands. Taken on the wee Sony A7R with an old Soligar 28mm 2.8 prime lens. A 15 second exposure at ISO 400 and f5.6, then colour corrected in Adobe Camera Raw. My gypsy road can't take me home ...

Goin' under, rats in the cellar, Goin' under, skin's turnin' yellow.. The Horror Labs. From my first tour of Belgium a mooch around The Horror Labs. A very enjoyable explore and the weather was baking. One that I was looking forward to photographing as shots I'd seen of this place looked quite ...

One of my favourite urbex locations in the UK the grand decayed staircase of the admin building at the Lincoln Lunatic Asylum. An interesting explore around the asylum but this is hands down the best shot to be found. Taken with Nikon D800, f11 aperture, ISO 100 and 5 brackets.

Godafoss was one if not the most challenging locations I've had the pleasure of trying to photograph. We drove a good 8 hours across Iceland to reach here in fierce snow blizzards, so strong we could see only a couple of feet ahead of us on the roads. Even though we could hardly see on the drive ...

When we arrived at the Zion National Park it was quite late at night so we parked the RV up for the night at the RV park at the start of the Zion reserve. As the stars and milky way was out I went and got some shots even though I was pretty tired at this point having driven a good 8 hours to get ...

Culzean Castle was constructed as an L-plan castle by order of the 10th Earl of Cassilis. He instructed the architect Robert Adam to rebuild a previous, but more basic, structure into a fine country house to be the seat of his earldom. The castle was built in stages between 1777 and 1792.
