Learning to share can be a challenge for young children, but sharing is a skill that they need for play and learning throughout childhood. Teachable moments like this can pave the way for teachers at #SGVP to talk to children about the benefits of sharing with friends. Children relished mouth-watering delicacies and had a fun filled #SharingDay.

Learning about all aspects of safety is an important part of education. Students along with the facilitators conducted a morning assembly based on the theme #SafetyMeasures both at home and at school. To reiterate this awareness an eye-opening video and informative speech was used as a tool to trigger 'safety' and 'responsibility' amongst the students. Through these tools, students were able to comprehend its importance and reciprocate with the risks and repercussions involved. Further the Vice Principal addressed the assembly by reinforcing and emphasizing the safety practices and compliance with safety rules. The assembly was followed by an #InterHouseQuizCompetition for Grades 5-11. Participants displayed enthusiasm with poise and composure while the spectators encouraged and cheered their respective house participants. Such #Intriguing and #Fascinating competitions not only elevate our existing knowledge but also provide an array of benefits in honing #PublicSpeakingSkills.

“Story is the song line of a person’s life. Story told, Story heard, Story written, Story read creates the web of life in words”
#Storytelling is a unique human skill shared between people and is one of the oldest art forms. The potential to express someone else’s words in our own way will enable a child to create his own #DistinctiveIdentity, build confidence, enhance speaking skills and stimulates one’s imagination. With this aim, #SGVP had organised storytelling competition for students of Grade I to IV.
The young, enthusiastic and passionate storytellers used various techniques of narrating a story and showcased their talent. Some students armed with their props came forth with wonderful tales. While some stories gave audience food for thought and some fortified #MoralValues. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
