Students of Grade III are engrossed in a fun loving activity of classifying living and non-living things from the objects given to them. The game was an amalgamation of scientific as well as mathematical concept. Through this activity the facilitator aims to strengthen the understanding of one of the ways through which things are categorized in our world.

Art plays a vital role in enhancing children’s creativity. Collage making is a wonderful art work, especially for young children because it nurtures their natural desire to explore the world through their sense of touch. Here is a view of Grade I students engaged in collage making activity. The students collected different types of leaves and created a beautiful art work out of it.

The notion of Roman numerals was introduced to Grade 5 by incorporating and amalgamating Indian numbers. Learners immersed themselves in pragmatic learning with hands on activity using match sticks to resolve various mathematical operations in Roman numbers. It was astounding to watch the young mathematicians intertwine the transition from the modern class arithmetic to classical antiquity.

Human beings learn and acquire knowledge about the surroundings and all other subjects by using five sense organs. The facilitator of Grade I conducted an activity on sense organs by blindfolding the students and recognizing the things kept on the table. Students enjoyed doing the activity and even understood the importance of all the five sense organs in one’s life.

Rhymes play an important role in developing and enhancing child’s language, reading skills, diction and intonation. The little ones of Rising Stars are whirling and twirling in the rhythm of various melodious rhymes. Students enjoyed a lot and were happy to sing rhymes during rhyme time.

“The best colour in the whole world is the one that looks good on you.”
Colours enhance and influences everybody. The little ones of Pre-primary celebrated Red day with great zeal and enthusiasm. All the little stars had dressed up in red coloured clothes. It was an eye-catching view to see the classes and the entire wing grooming with different hues of red. Students were found engrossed in creating mesmerizing art work using red coloured paint. Overall it was a fun filled day for all the students.

Today’s assembly was unique on its own as the students of SGVP and Sanskrit Mahavidhyalaya performed a combined assembly on the occasion Rathyatra celebration to be held tomorrow. Ratha Yatra is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath held at Puri in the state of Odisha, India. A presentation was shown by the students of Darshanam to throw light on the unknown facts about Puri Jagannath. The students of SGVP presented a skit and a dance depicting the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Students of grade 6 were involved in activity based learning wherein they performed three activities... Greeting card making for their mother, drawing a horse of their dream, gifting a small toy to their friends in the school. These activities were then inter linked and correlated to English curriculum to learning long lasting and to inculcate the value of sharing as “Sharing brings Happiness”.
