(hope I'm not pushing my luck by asking two questions, and I also hope this hasn't been asked before -- sorry if it has)

I love turn-based combat systems in CRPGs where I can stop and think, be they the "real time with pause" style of Baldur's Gate or the "take your turn" style from games like the earlier Ultimas. Now I know it's impossible to do turn-based in an online/MMO game, but what of the single-player mode? It doesn't mean you have to create two separate systems. In Mass Effect 3, for instance, bringing up the Weapon Menu pauses the action in single-player mode; in multi-player mode it doesn't. Same system, different behaviours.

Will the combat be pausable or turn-based in single-player SOTA, or will it be real-time?

Thanks!

From what I gather from the way you can preset special skills (runes). They say the combat system will be easy to learn and have many customization.

#LBSotA_Hangout I'm really excited that Denis Loubet is on board to make the cover art. But, for those of us unfortunate souls who were unable to manage a physical goods level pledge, will Denis's art be available through alternate means, like as a poster, or other merchandise?

I got tickled when someone in the chat said for the tee-caption: "I slew a dragon in Shroud of the Avatar, and all I got was this tee shirt." Ha! The idea of a hoodie is more appealing to me that a tee shirt or a cap, but a poster sounds great!

(this is a question for Stephen's show today)
Stephen, what was your first introduction to "hobby gaming" (be it a computer game, tabletop game, pen-and-paper rpg)? What are some of your fondest gaming memories, and did any of these experiences impact your art style?
