Introduction

Brent Laminack, a consultant and system administrator, has managed IT projects and administered UNIX environments since 1982.  

Brent is a long-time member of the Atlanta Unix User Group where he conducts the monthly pre-meeting 'guru' sessions. Brent is also a co-organizer of the monthly Atlanta Joomla User Group.  He has developed and taught courses for continuing education programs at Georgia Tech, Emory University and the University of Georgia since 1990, on a wide variety of computer related subjects.  A Certified Information Systems Security Professional, he received a B.S. in Physics from Georgia Tech in 1979. He is currently president of Open Face Systems, Inc. where he helps businesses improve their processes by designing cost-effective, web-based database-driven applications and works with OSTraining.com.

Brent has been described as an open source maven and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with anyone who wants to learn.
