Start-ups in China, India and Brazil are grabbing mid- and low-end sales, and the high-end market is increasingly dominated by Samsung and Apple.

Updated 10:03 a.m.. Good Thursday morning to you. The warming weather has brought back something we've all been missing. That bumping, wheezing sound outside the window, more welcome than Santa's sleigh bells. It's the garbage trucks, making their triumphal post-snow return.

Epic Fail: for twenty years, the nuclear launch codes were set to "00000000" ... didn't anyone tell them "do not use vendor-supplied defaults for system passwords"
Today I found out that during the height of the Cold War, the US military put such an emphasis on a rapid response to an attack on American soil, that to minimize any foreseeable delay in launching a nuclear missile, for nearly two decades they intentionally set the launch codes at every silo in the US to 8 zeroes.
