New, clean, nicely located hotel near Alexandria. Staff is attentive and caring. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pool is luxurious and a great hot tub. Complimentary breakfast and wi-fi are great perks.

the hotel wasn't finished yet upon our arrival. The pool was still under construction, so I find it odd the rooms were still full price. At check in we were greated and excited to stay in the new hotel. My whole family is from the area and having a hotel to stay in while visiting is very convenient. We left for a wedding and when we arrived again the receptionist was a different one. She was very rude. As we were approaching the stair way she yelled at us to show us our ID's because we were not old enough to stay in the hotel and had to be 21. We were 22 and after telling her we were already checked in and showed our ID's she was just as rude and said she didn't care and wanted to see our ID's. At check out my new Aunt (who's wedding we were at the day of check in) was there meeting her niece. At check out we were all talking and the same lady who was rude the night before was their. In front of us she chatted with my aunt's other niece stating my aunt was her land lord and how great she was so she would discount her room. Her room dropped from 120 to 70. After that we thought maybe she would make up the rudeness to us the night before and also discount our room since my aunt was her landlord. Nope she charged us 120 and didn't even say thank you for staying. That was two years ago. We are now trying it again this summer and hoping for a more delightful stay with a more pleasant receptionist with management that cares about how happy we are at our stay. We have had multiple chances to stay their again and have chosen not to because of that experience. I will be posting another review come August after our stay. The rooms were at least clean and nice.

Great location with good access to the highway. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. I travel frequently for business and The Crossing has some of the most comfortable hotel beds that I have ever slept on.
