"Linux is only free if your time has no value" -- Jamie Zawinski
The following is part of an interview I did for themes.org back in June 1998. One of the questions they asked me was, ``what do you think about Linux?'' Today, I use Linux as my primary OS (on an x86 PC, and on a Thinkpad), and I also use Irix (on an SGI O2.) Linux has improved a great deal ...

To everyone who is for some reason is not happy with Libreoffice. There is an alpha linux version of WPS-office by kingsoft. Looks quite neat already and feels much better than libreoffice so far (what, really?).

I see your point, but I think I should add. Open-source due to its collaborative nature and flexibility holds more potential, yes. And it is better, given all the right prerequisites fulfilled. But it is also incorrect to say proprietary model is crap. I am payed money for what I do and I enjoy it not because I am payed. My whole argument is directed against one-sided opinions which tend to dwell so well in linux communities.

In terms of Libre vs Kingsoft, I can't judge because I use it for one purpose -- simple edit of documents and base opinion on my own experience. I was never happy with Libreoffice because of its compatibility issues with MS, rugged UI and slow, slow event handling on my laptop. WPS at least does its job much better in this field. As many ppl have mentioned it lacks a lot in features and other stuff. But would you write off an application only due to its "incorrect" license? I would not.

Soon, it's time to say farewell to X :(
It's both good and bad. When you finally know where every config is, how to debug it and how to manage it nicely, Wayland comes.
I don't want to talk about mir though... *buntus are good but during the past 3 years canonical have made some bad decisions

+Seth Sevenyoln  I have tried ubuntu and centos. All of them need to compile some tools if you need a different version or some errors happened. Even though I'm a developer, I think it's a hard work.
