American Express:: Offers merchant deals to customers who sync their cards with Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare. Deals are loaded to a customer’s account and can be redeemed by swiping the registered American Express card.
J.P. Morgan Chase :: Company announced a $1 million sweepstakes last year tied to its Chase Freedom card for customers who “liked” the card’s Facebook page. Is also advertising a similar giveaway for $1,000 Amazon.com gift cards.
Capital One :: Financial Players were able to open a Capital One branch in CityVille, a social game by Zynga. Players of the Zynga games FarmVille and The Pioneer Trail could also interact with the goat inCapital One’s commercials.
Discover Financial Services:: Company sponsored an expansion within FarmVille last year and offered $100 game cards from Zynga to non-customers who applied for a Discover card through a special Facebook link and used the card to make a purchase.
Citigroup :: Launched an app on Facebook that allows customers to pool their ThankYou rewards points together to redeem for gifts, make donations and other activities.
