The Florida Native Orchids Website, one of the premiere free sources of information on orchids native to Florida and the greater southeast, is having a fundraiser for operational costs of the website.  Purchase your "I Heart Florida's Wild Orchids" t-shirt to help us keep the lights on.

Yea! My photo of the White Fringed Orchid has made the finalists in the Close Up category of the Florida Wildflower Photography contest, and I need help from my friends to vote for it...it is choice C on the Close Up category page.

It's time to vote for the Florida Wildflower Association's Photography Contest winners. Florida native orchids are well represented in the closeup category, with the Florida Butterfly Orchid (Encyclia tampensis), my White Fringed Orchid (Platanthera blephariglottis v. conspicua) photo, and the Orange Fringed Orchid (Platanthera ciliaris). Vote for your favorite photo...which is hopefully choice C on the Close Up page.
