/via +Libby Bearman for +Browser Media

Google Shows Offline Analytics Capabilities With Holiday Store Traffic Data /via +Search Engine Land  #analytics   #ecommerce

Google’s report on foot traffic during the holiday season represents aggregated data from mobile users with location history turned on.

Google store traffic data

In the form of a “store foot traffic index,” Google reveals that holiday shopping traffic patterns are different for different categories of stores. Some have greater visitation on Black Friday and some on the Saturday before Christmas."

Deep Link Referrer Analytics for Google Search

As an app developer, you’re probably interested in understanding what channels are driving users to your app, as well as how those users behave once they’re in your app. Google allows you to track users that come from Google Search through a piece of data called a referrer. This can be integrated with Google Analytics, so you can get a complete understanding of your user behavior in one place. To learn more, watch the video below and try our codelab: g.co/dev/codelab-search-referrer.

And if you want to learn more about how to use Google Search to drive user acquisition and reengagement for your app, visit https://g.co/DeveloperSearch.
