It should be Federally mandated that at least 50% of all of the electricity produced by a utility should be-- carbon neutral-- by the year 2025 with a 100% sin tax on all electricity that puts additional carbon into the atmosphere by utilities that fail to meet the Federal standards.

One of the most obvious lessons, IMO, is the fact that back up power units at a nuclear facility needed to be as protected as the nuclear reactors themselves.

The world is never going to replace fossil fuels without nuclear energy. But it would require more than 3000 1 GWe reactors, in the US alone, for the US to replace all of its fossil fuel use. There's no way the US is going to build 3000 terrestrial nuclear reactors, IMO. But I think the US could rapidly mass produce and deploy more than 3000 floating nuclear reactors, if they were deployed in remote territorial waters.

I'm looking forward to seeing Space X finally launch the Falcon Heavy. But it will still won't come close to the payload capability of the Boeing/ATK  SLS super heavy lift vehicle.

But the SLS won't become fully operational until the new RS-25 engines are in production and the SLS upper stage is in production-- probably sometime between 2021 and 2023.

While the Falcon heavy will be capable of deploying 53 tonnes of payloads to LEO within a payload fairing up to five meters in diameter, the SLS will be able to deploy more than 100 tonnes to LEO within  10 meter in diameter payload fairings.

Future SLS variants,  might be capable of deploying more than 130 tonnes to LEO within 12 meter in diameter payload fairings.
