Had shrimps with oyster sauce. Strangest "oyster sauce" I've seen so far. It was a starchy-thick brown goo that only faintly resembled real oyster sauce. I guess some people like it there because they serve large portions and are relatively inexpensive. Should have known better when it said Chinese AND Polynesian cuisine.

The experience my husband and I had at Cathay Pacific was NOT a good one! I do NOT recommend it. First, the table the waiter showed us to, the table cloth had visible worn spots. Then, the waiter insisted that we place our drink order and our food order because the Bartender was backed up, so we did. Then our food ended up arriving at our table before our bar drinks! I've never been to a restaurant that our bar drinks arrived before our appetizers. The food was nothing exceptional...the crab Rangoon was oily, never drained properly from the frying process. Once the meal was over we had asked that the remainder of our meals be packaged to take home. Once we arrived home, I noticed that the large bag that the waiter gave to us DID NOT contain the remains of my dinner, only my husbands. Furious, I called the restaurant back and the person who answered the phone was rude, and when asked if I could speak to the manager told me that the manager was not at the restaurant. I then asked for the assistant manager and was told he wasn't there either and that it was my fault for not looking in the bag! Terrible experience...will never go there again!

After going to Cathay Pacific last night I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. We did not even make it to a table beforewe turned right around and left. I was with my girlfriend, mother and my brother is 27 years old and has Down syndrome. We got there around 8 o'clock last night, having planned this for a couple of days so we could eat and watch the Bruins game. After moving out of my house it is not all the time I get to see my mother and brother. So upon arriving I asked the gentleman who was hosting if we could sit in the lounge so we could eat and watch the game. First they told us that it would be too loud in the lounge so we probably should not eat in there. We informed the gentleman that we wanted to watch the play off game and that was one of the reasons we were out. We also did not understand this, as there were two out of the four in our party wearing Bruins apparel. I proceed to tell him that the conditions in the lounge were fine and we would still like to be seated there. It seemed as if because we were a family and two of the four of us would not be drinking that we would be wasting a table in the lounge and we were not going to rack up a big enough tab over there for their liking. The host who was very un professional and just flat out rude asked forevery one's ID's for proof we were all over 21. After assuring him we all were well over 21 we also produced three licenses and one MA state issued ID, we were then denied a table. Once again the host tells me, that my brother who has Down syndrome and clearly is incapable of driving needed a license and that his Massachusetts State ID was not sufficient. I understand that restaurants have policies and procedures which none of us had any problem with. It was the mere fact thatt here was such an issue over sitting in a lounge and ID rather than a license to prove a certain persons age. As this unprofessional and rude host continues telling me we can not sit over there keep on thinking to myself how is this legal, how can he be turning us away from a table when we all just proved our age. Granted we were by the front entrance, where all the managers were sitting listening to the whole situation and neither of them said a word. After being repeatedly told that because we could not produce a license for my brother wecould not eat in the lounge and watch the Bruins, we finally left. I have never felt so bad in my life because as this all is happening my bother is standing there with the saddest look on his face asking my mother if this is because of him. Is it really that hard to understand people have disabilities and other factors that make it impossible to drive, so because ofthat they can’t eat at certain places, and get turned away when they are with others? This is discrimination, and the disturbing part about the whole situation is that there are several other instances similar to this one that occurred at Cathay Pacific. Not only did you lose the service of my family and but anyone that mentions the name of your restaurant I will make it a point to tell this story. This review is not the last time you will hear from me, I have already contacted news channels to tell them about my case of discrimination and all the other cases that have taken place here. There are laws against discrimination and hopefully I can find the right person to hear my story that can handle this situation correctly.

Always fresh , Always hot... The lunch time specials are my favorite which gives large portions for low prices . Between 1-3
