"Take one class, take the other, take both. In just 10 weeks you'll have actual sites you've built using HTML/CSS, have insight into the user interaction behind it, and an opportunity to demo your applications in front of Chicago's elite entrepreneurs on Demo Day." - http://www.builtinchicago.org/blog/introducing-code-academy-night-classes

The idea guy is dead. We replaced him with the MVP hacker.
For anyone with a technical idea, eg. web app, mobile app, if you don’t learn to build it yourself to some degree, you’re losing out on a huge opportunity. - http://blog.codeacademy.org/post/17209472611/be-your-own-outsource

I think Idea Guy is only step 0 from our project, and never be a developer that understand our idea better than ourselves.

So, giving some coding time for each idea will help us to get a better picture of the viability of the project.

Great post!!

"It’s crazy to think a single post on Built in Chicago will seat you next to the likes of Troy Henikoff, Kevin Willer, Matt McCall, Matt Moog, and countless other highly invested business leaders and venture capitalists. But it’s not just them, it’s the rest the community that makes Built in Chicago such a success. It’s the pioneering spirit, the welcoming attitudes, and the insights from countless others. Simply put, Built in Chicago is the personification of the entrepreneurial spirit in Chicago, and we cannot thank them enough." http://blog.codeacademy.org/post/16889713328/built-in-chicago-our-citys-largest-investor

New blog post! WTF is MVP? - http://bit.ly/wGu1Z8

"We have a motto here, make it work, then make it right. MVP is making it work. Get it functional, get it live, and then work to build an audience around it, don’t worry about scalability until it’s an actual problem."

In partnership with Nick Stocking and his revolutionary freelance community DesignCloud, Code Academy now has a second place to call home. Community has been engrained in our culture from day one and today as we continue to grow our family, it’s humble knowing we’ve already begun to outgrow even our own expectations. - http://blog.codeacademy.org/post/17038560936/designcloud-meet-codecloud

Code Academy is an immersive three-month program for passionate people who want to learn how to build web applications. We offer world-class instruction in web development and user experience design, and provide hands-on mentorship from Chicago's leading developers, designers, and entrepreneurs.
Introduction
We started Code Academy because we've spent an insane amount of time trying everything under the sun to learn how to build web applications. As non-CS majors in college and having exhausted the books, screencasts, web tutorials, workshops and bootcamps available, we realized there was an unnecessary barrier for people to acquire these skills. We want the world to be a place where anyone can develop the skills to do whatever they want, to take what’s in their head and make it real, and have fun while doing it.
