Vegetarian review: the cauliflower sandwich is the best of the vegetarian sandwiches. It's an average sandwich at best and certainly not worth the price. The eggplant tofu sandwich is just inedible IMO. The chips are okay thanks to the generous helping of salt. The pickle I received with my sandwich was barely pickled.

Really like Strip T's the food is solid, not overpriced and really creative. The menu is smaller, but there is certainly something for everyone and the specials are awesome. I've had the burger which is really good, the braised ox tail over grilled romaine (AMAZING), grilled squid salad (appetizer) really good, Mussels - which was solid as well, and teh Bahn mi which is excellent. The fish and chips leaves something to be desired, go in a different direction than that... Not a great drink menu, but that's ok. Raise the prices 10-20% and it's probably only 3-4 star range, but for the quality of food and the price tough to beat.

Thank you so much for the five stars, Sam. We keep a smaller menu to make sure every dish we offer is top notch. From the sound of your review, we're hitting the mark too. I appreciate the feedback on the fish and chips as well; if you have anymore thoughts to share let me know. I'd love to hear what you think we could improve. All the best, Paul, Owner

I've been dying to try this place for ages and was completely disappointed. It Was the smallest "large" plate of bolognese I've ever seen. Complete rip off. I've worked in fine dining for years and this was a poor showing all around. The waiter was dismissive and unengaged. The pork belly was dry and over cooked, but at least that was a decent portion as it was a "small" plate. The one saving grace was the eggplant purée on the fresh tomato salad but hardly worth the $70 meal. Lastly if you're going to call yourself "strip-ts" have at least some beef on the menu. Don't bother.

I'm so sorry to hear your meal with us was disappointing, Lizzie. We portion our dishes on the smaller side to allow our guests to mix and match plates and create a customized multi-course dining experience. Every dish we serve is made with the finest quality ingredients, and our prices reflect that dedication to excellence. If your server was rude, I want to apologize. There's no excuse for that, and it's not our style either. I'll make a point of checking in with our team about your feedback. Thank you for reaching out, Paul, Owner

By far one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. From the great food to the outstanding service this restaurant is one of the best Watertown if not most of Boston has to offer.

Went there for lunch with my wife. I had the fish and chips, she had the fried chicken. The food was fantastic, the fish was moist and delicious, the breading was perfect. Our waitress was great, very attentive without being on top of us while eating. I would definitely recommend.

Boy do I love Strip-T's. Yes, the name puts some people off (I've had to explain it's not THAT kind of "Strip-T's" more times that I can remember), but it is the best kind of "diner." Upscale quality (and price), but it is all worth it. The hospitality is authentic (gruff, at times, but they treat you just like your family does), and all of the food is world-class. Top picks include the Japanese Eggplant banh mi, Moxie wings, whatever's on special, and a cookie (they bake them at the sister restaurant "Ribelle" and they often sell out quickly. Reservations recommended and accepted for parties of all sizes, but there is usually some counter seating available.

I'm ten years removed from the south and I had the best fried chicken there since I've been in New England! J. Guice

Great eating experience. The food is absolutely delicious. The service is courteous. The only thing that that brings this down from 5 stars to 4 is the ridiculous price. Calling the entree portion "large" would be generous. Charging $22 is high way robbery. It's fried chicken and potatoes. I'm guessing the dish cost about $2 to make. It was good but certainly not the best fried chicken i've ever had, and momma bear makes comparable potatoes.

Thank you for the kind words about our cooking, Liliya! It sounds like the food really hit the spot, and we're glad to hear it. I'm sorry you were disappointed in the portion size, though. We're serving only the finest quality ingredients here in every dish and our prices and portions reflect that dedication to excellence. I'll take your comments to heart though! Hopefully we'll see you again soon for another memorable meal, Paul, Owner
