We’d love to see this technology! Not that any of our patients would need monitoring, we know they always do a great job!

Many people brush in the shower to save time in the morning. However, keeping your toothbrush in the shower is not recommended as it can cause dangerous bacteria to grow on it. Yuck!

Cavities are caused by carbohydrates, which do include sugar, but also bread, crackers, and chips.

Researchers from the University of Washington and Cornell built power saws out of sharks’ teeth and put them to the test to see which caused the most harm. The winner? The tiger shark. Check out the video here http://www.cnet.com/uk/news/a-power-saw-made-out-of-shark-teeth-for-science/
Researchers have combined the teeth of various sharks into what they are calling the "Jawzall", a power saw for tearing fish flesh.

During this month and all months, we want all our patients to know the importance of custom-made mouthguards. They don’t just protect your teeth, they also reduce the risk of concussion. Always wear your mouthguard!

With the change in season, it’s a good idea to change your toothbrush too. We recommend getting a new one every 3 months.

Before today I was always apprehensive going to any dentist. But my experience with Dr. Park today was one that I will remember quite fondly. She is a great dentist and was very relaxed, her and her assistant were both super friendly and very professional all at once. The Filling specialist I believe her name was Lauren, actually made me chuckle a couple times during my fillings with some moments of levity. Bottom line is they have a cool and relaxed culture, and they care about their patients. I highly recommend!

I took my son as walk-appointment. We were seen within a half hour. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. When it became clear that we would need to be there longer for the appointment, we were constantly checked on to make sure everything was ok. Dr. Attia was wonderful with my son. He helped keep him calm while he was drilling away. We will definitely be continuing to go there. In fact I will transfer there as well.

My daughter (age 12) was in for a consultation last week, the staff was very courteous. The Doctor and hygienist explained the procedure very well, so I could understand what the process will be and how long it will take to straighten her teeth. Even though we traveled from York, PA, it was worth it!

The dentist was very thorough in his explanation. However, I was the first slot of the day and waited in the chair for 1 hour and 15 minutes before the dentist appeared. I point blank asked the receptionist, "if I had been 15 mins late you would have made me reschedule, correct?" She said yes. MY TIME IS JUST AS VALUABLE AS YOURS. I had a packed day and they could have had the courtesy of telling me it was going to be such a huge delay and given ME the choice of what to do. I did not get the work done, they wanted $1900 for a root canal/crown. This is completely obnoxious even with the current health crisis.

I have never been one to like having my teeth touched, after a bad incident in my home town- I have always been afraid to go to the dentist. I went to Smile Builderz Sun on the 2nd. I love the people there, You all are GREAT!!! Dr. Joseph Altia had me in tears, Glorious tears. He treated me just like Family, and made me feel at home. I will always come back to him, and promise to stay on schedule with my teeth. Thank you soooo Much Dr. Altia.
