BMW considering dropping manual transmissions.

"From a technical standpoint [...] DCT and auto ’boxes are faster and they have better fuel consumption."

as much fun as it might be, you're not more efficient than a machine.

And now for something completely different.

Population increased by 2 billion, and yet there are millions less hungry. Still far too many people left, but... it's not as if we're going down hill.

This is pretty random, and I'm pretty sure like 99% of you won't know what (or who) the hell I'm talking about.

But in a lot of ways, Brent Simmons is one of my personal heroes. For a lot of reasons that I won't bore you with.

Valve is officially doing refunds on Steam now.

maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn't like it

We do not consider it abuse to request a refund on a title that was purchased just before a sale and then immediately rebuying that title for the sale price.

So, now basically every gammon steam has a demo version. if you're willing to buy/refund. And you won't get screwed by buying a game the week before it goes on sale.

sometimes I want to literally burn down my apartment and figuratively buy all new stuff.

... wait.. no.. I have that backwards. I think.

That's right, it's probably impossible for a minimum wage worker to afford housing working a 40 hour work week.

Welcome to the 19th century, folks.

This is an interesting article, and really outlines the difference between Republicans and everyone else:

Most of us care about everyone, and believe the government (and by extension Congress) must serve and represent everyone living in this country, regardless of their status.

Republicans only care about their people. And by their, I mean white non-poor people.

And this is how Republican came to be a four letter word.

That moment when you stop taking anything someone says seriously, when you see this in their email:

Editor: Why […], did you just name drop?
Me: Yes, but hush, I'm doing it as an appeal to authority.

Sorry, but excusing your own bragging by saying you were trying to leverage a logical fallacy makes me think you're full shit.
