The "rules of the road" for the Bill Nye The Science Guy show.

I never thought about it, but one of the reasons the show was so accessible and inviting was Bill treated the kids and guests as peers.  Learning isn't just a handing-down of knowledge -- it's a conversation.

I really want to see this. A new doc from Penn & Teller about a computer graphics guy trying to figure out how Vermeer painted his masterpieces.

"The HTC One (M8) is the best Android phone the world has ever seen. Period. Full stop. Of this, there is no doubt. In many ways, in fact, it is the best smartphone the world has ever seen."
It is considered poor form to begin a review with the conclusion, but there's really no reason to drag this out: the HTC One (M8) is the best Android phone the world has ever seen. Period. Full sto...

The Nike swoosh logo was designed by a graphic design student, who charged $35 for her work.

One of the best things about the internet is stumbling across obsessive hobbyists that do awesome things.

I recently stumbled across "reef tank" aquariums.
Here's some time-lapse video of a guy feeding corals in his reef tank.

Big portions, but the food just isn't that great. Everything is served Chipotle-style by scooping ingredients out of the warming trays behind the counter.

Not bad for a fast-food style burger. Nothing special, though.

Maybe a bit of a dive, but the burgers aren't bad. Nice big portions of fries, too.

The burgers are amazing; great mac n cheese too. A varied, interesting menu. Some of the mixed drinks are a bit quirky, using KoolAid or Tang as a mixer. Vintage lunchboxes and other collectibles on the shelves. The drinks come in Pyrex beakers. Definitely worth checking out.

Extremely overpriced for a small soggy waffle and chewy bacon. After adding a cup of coffee and a small glass of milk, my breakfast was $20 before tip. The interior is like an IHOP or a Bob Evans and the quality of food is about the same. I was seated and served quickly, though.
