Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Recipe from Whitewater Cooks with friends

1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp cardamom (not called for in recipe, I like cardamom so I added it)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Pre-heat oven to 350F
Grease muffin tins

Sift together flour, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Beat butter until smooth and light.
Mix in sugar until well-combined and then eggs, one at a time.
Beat in pumpkin and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients into pumpkin mixture alternating with the milk.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spoon into muffin tins.
Bake for 30-35 minutes.
