This year I was able to participate in an amazing collaborative/connected project with a school in Bangladesh that incorporated multiple UN Sustainable Development goals, inspired my students to participate in social activism, and helped them become better human beings. I am really proud of what we accomplished, and thought others in this group might be interested in reading about our project. Here is my summary: https://www.theglueedu.com/blog/2018/7/1/albatrosses-and-affirmations

The end of each year brings about a time for reflection on the 12 months previous, and hopes for the new year in the future. We get 525,600 minutes each year to do something meaningful - to connect with others and find our purpose. More on that in my newest blog post at: https://www.theglueedu.com/blog/2017/12/7/525600-minutes

As you think about the 525,600 minutes to come in 2018, how can you use your devices and Internet connection in the service of human connection?

I would love to hear from other educators about your thoughts and suggestions to the above question.

Please share your answersin the comments section below the post, and/or in this Facebook group.

Enjoy your weekend, and the rest of 2017!

My 5th Grade students in British Columbia Canada are looking for some classes to connect with to talk about natural resources. Would love to hear about the natural resources that shape the economy and identity of different regions in Canada and around the world - and share about ours here at home. Please let me know if you'd like to connect! Email tracy.poelzer@gmail.com if you are interested in connecting.

I am working with a teacher who is having some issues with docAppender this week. It has previously worked without a hitch, but we are experiencing some glitches that we have never seen before. She is on a Chromebook and logged into an EDU GSuite account. She had created a Form, run the Doc Appender add-on, connected to a folder with documents with student names in the title. When she used the Form to submit feedback, the appended information was only showing up in about half the Docs.

Today we tried troubleshooting together. We tried a few different things - re-connecting to the folder, uninstalling and reinstalling the add-on, and even creating a new folder full of docs (using the assignment - create a copy for every student - in Google Classroom) to link to and re-creating the Form. Now we keep getting a "no items in this folder" message (even though it is full of Docs with titles containing the student names). We finally got past this point, located and connected to the folder and identified the "name" question, but it won't let us move on to the "next" dialog box.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? We love docAppender and have never experienced these frustrations before. Is there an issue with the tool right now?
