In my opinion, if you will find the way to avoid these 3 red flags your startup goes to the next level (10% of all) and you will receive more attention not only from me but from other investors as well.
Nowadays to launch a Startup becomes a trend. Unfortunately, almost 90% of all Startup Founders do not know the difference between “to launch a Startup” and “to create a Business”.

After tons of startup’s pitch decks I am pretty sure that all Startups could be compared with an Iceberg. And if the founders usually can see the peak of the iceberg only, investors can understand the whole piece of floating ice and even more.

That’s why there are some red flags for me during the decision making process:

Red Flag #1 - Solo Founder: I strongly believe that there is no success in solo driven startups. You have to have a flash speed to get your place on market, but that’s impossible without team. f you are going on race track you must have a full management team at least (CEO, CTO, COO, CFO, CMO)

Red Flag #2 - Founders Age < 25 years: To start a race you have to have a degree and min 2-3 years of experience in the area where your startup is going to be. At least you have to understand that iceberg it’s not only what you can see but also there is a huge piece of ice under water and you do have a team who knows exactly what’s going on there.

Red Flag #3 - One Functional Area Founders: Most of the founders are very limited in their functionalities. They are all product/service oriented and only few of them are business oriented. I do not say that you have to know all small details of the business but you must to understand all aspects of the whole business.

In my opinion, if you will find the way to avoid these 3 red flags your startup goes to the next level (10% of all) and you will receive more attention not only from me but from other investors as well.
