Introduction
I’m a freelance consultant and coach for JavaScript, web technologies and information management. I’ve been developing web applications since 1995 and held my first talk on Ajax in 2006. In 1999, I was technical manager at an internet startup that later expanded internationally. I frequently blog about a variety of topics on 2ality.com.

New content – WebAssembly frequently asked questions:
* Does the web finally have a universal bytecode?
* Isn’t WebAssembly like Flash?
* Will WebAssembly make JavaScript faster?

I don’t know.

The approach taken by WebAssembly is so different (bytecode vs. AST) and so many details are still up in the air (e.g. it will take a while until it makes sense to compile JavaScript to WebAssembly) that it is unclear how WebAssembly will stack up to gzipped minified source code, size-wise.

Generators, a new feature of ECMAScript 6 [4], are functions that can be paused and resumed. This enables many intriguing applications: iterators, asynchronous programming, etc. This blog post explains how generators work and gives an overview of their applications.
