COVER REVEAL!!!

I'm always fascinated by the evolution of a book, from the words inside it to its glossy, shiny cover. How does the author (or publisher, or both) arrive at their decision?

RIVER RUNNING was a fun journey. Check out the various cover iterations until the final product! How did I do? Do you like my final choice?

Emily June Street discusses Mage & Source with me (her seriously amazing new book out in Tales of Blood & Light)! Come see what she has to say about it (as well as cellos, fruit salad, and other odds and ends). ;)

Look what's available TODAY, y'all! Admittedly, I picked the release date for the entire trilogy to match my anniversary, because the idea of two amazing things happening on the same day gave me simple joy.

Grab your copy of all three of my books, because it's a great day to do so. http://amzn.to/2r1lOB3

Just a reminder that the three-book set is coming out on MONDAY (also, my 13th anniversary of being married to my beloved husband, so, you know, anniversary presents come in book sales)... ;)

"On a surface level, I just want them to get wrapped up in an action-packed, intrigue-filled plot. Beyond that, I want them to appreciate the nuanced and layered characters that fill the pages. Romance fans I hope will enjoy the angsty Ayden and the green-eyed, gorgeous Kinna. Fantasy fans will love those dragons. Literary fiction fans will find some depth in the introspective soul-searching carried out by heroes and villains alike. Anywhere there is a clashing battle of dragons in the skies, there will be cinematic, big-picture beauty. I hope readers get to experience all of these with clear word pictures playing out in their imaginations."

See? A little something for everyone. ;) Check out the interview, and then head on over to http://amzn.to/2nqHy6G to purchase your copy!

If you've read and enjoyed the book, please drop by Amazon and/or Goodreads and leave a review! I depend on those for sales. Thanks a million! :)

"The fact that I get books done at all is pure, unadulterated, sheer stubbornness." In case I am ever accused of being, you know, pliable and teachable. ;)

My good friend and fellow writer, Margaret Locke, hosted me today on her website. Come read about Unleash the Inferno and a bit of the creation process!

"I haven’t topped any lists yet, and Hollywood steadfastly ignores me, but I am writing, I am creating, I am weaving my worlds, and that is important to me."

Oh Hollywood, Hollywood, wherefore art thou Hollywood? ;)

Come read my conversation with fellow fantasy author/editor and friend about the creation process of Unleash the Inferno!

Cedric the Reluctant (as my editor and I liked to call him) learned a few lessons along the way, too. When I first sketched out this book, I considered giving him his freedom. The boy didn't want the responsibility of the crown and an entire kingdom. He didn't want the weight of power that came with his royal heritage. But Cedric was made of steel, and I didn't realize how strong that steel was until it was tempered. It was so... satisfying to watch Cedric the Reluctant turn into Cedric the Responsible.
