I ate all kinds of Kebaps in Turkey. I was born into that. Lahmacun, adana, beyti.yaprak doner, iskender, kofte whatever you can think of. At this restaurant, I liked the food better than some other Turkish restaurants in Bloomington. I think you just can't find the original food, but this one was closer than some others. I ordered Adana Kebap and it was a bit spicy, yes, but it was accurate enough to evoke nostalgic feelings. :) You know the memory triggers, number 1, smell, taste and music come next. It is really bad if they really served expired beer though, I will check it out next time I am there and report you guys.

The food was excellent and I really like the staff. It is a very laid back atmosphere, if you are in a Hurry don't go here, if you want to enjoy your experience and relax this is nice place to do it. Very authentic food and atmosphere.

My wife and I went at at Bosphorus on New Year's Eve. The atmosphere was inviting and the food was fantastic. We ordered four appetizers and they were all delicious. The prices are very reasonable. We will be going back on our wedding anniversary in a few weeks. Great food, excellent service.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I am Turkish, born and raised. The trip to this restaurant yesterday made me ashamed for them. Let's start with beer. Ordered Efes light, turkish beer. I was just toying around with the bottle when I noticed the expiration date of 2/14/2013. I told the waitress about it and she came back 5 minutes later and tells me that all of their beer is expired but the Dark Efes is only 1 month expired, would I want that instead? Are you kidding me? I said no and sent back the beer. They I ordered Ayran. Again, I'm Turkish so I know exactly what it should taste like. It should have a distinctively tart taste - what I tasted was more like warm milk with some salt added? And then comes the main meal. I ordered Adana Kabab, which is ground beef and lamb. I think it was originally prepared 2 weeks ago then thrown back on the grille to warm it up for me. Absolutely disgusting and way over spiced. I finally couldnt take it anymore and asked her if the owners were real Turks or what.... and i quote " Yes the owner is turkish but the cheff is Mexican" - are you effin kidding me? That explains the overly spiced food but still no excuse for horrible Ayran and expired beer. P.S. i later saw her take beer to another table, only this time, they poured the beer into a glass in the back and never put the bottle on their table. What a disgrace. How can you continue to serve other customers knowing its 6 friggin months past the expiration date. Absolutely pathetic place.
