I like to add and ’ any time I submit online forms because I know that some developer is going to see it and wonder if they have a bug.

I got a call from a guy who was inquiring about getting some web work done:

Potential Client: "Hello, I am told you build websites. I need a website that is like YouTube but without the videos."

Me: "So, if there isn't any video, what sort of media will your users be uploading and sharing?"

Potential Client: "No they will just comment"

Me: "I am sorry, I don't understand. What will the users comment on? Commenting implies that there is some content already on the page. Do you maybe want to build a forum or message board that allows your users to have online discussions?"

Potential Client: "Okay we can add comments in later just don't bother with that part for now. What can you do for me?"

Me: "I am really confused. No videos, no comments....what else is left on YouTube to replicate? You'd just have a blank white page."

Potential Client: "You're the fourth person who can't see my vision. Don't worry about it, I'll find someone else."

[Phone hangs up]

I won't worry. I was looking forward to giving him a blank white page though.

I got a OnePlus X invite today. Now I need to decide if it'll be enough of an upgrade over my Galaxy S4 or not.

Hello Know How Community,

I am moving into a new house and while I love to watch cable TV, I would rather not buy or rent a PVR from my TV provider if I can avoid it.

I was thinking I could create a PVR using either a Windows PC or a Raspberry Pi.  I know this used to be pretty simple on Windows using Windows Media Centre - but WMC is done, so I am not sure what to do.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to get started, or what to look out for if I do this?

A client of mine was reviewing some work I did today, and just sent me an email asking "Can you make the font bigger without actually making the font any bigger?"

I was always a fan of netbooks.  Small, lightweight and good for those who lived online.  The netbook was a little before its time, but the more I use my Chromebook, the more I come to really like it.  This is what a netbook should be.

I've been playing around with the Themify Builder WordPress plugin for the last few weeks.

If you want a cool WYSIWYG drad and drop building tool for your WordPress themes, check it out.  I really like the flexibility it gives me, and love that I can plug it into any custom theme.
