Well done and so true!  I did something similar in my daughters 5th grade class last Fall and talked about it in a Utah Genealogical Association Conference keynote.  Keynote Oct 22, 2012 Bret Petersen Part 1

Thanks for the invite Denise. I have your book on my Christmas list and if Santa doesn't bring it I might just have to pout. I have been good this year so here's hoping. ;-)

Gotta love Becky's advice :). But if Santa doesn't bring you a copy, check my Blog Book Tour in January for giveaways. Maybe you will win a copy, Bret.

Family History Researcher, Mentor, Speaker and Technologist
Introduction

Bret Petersen developed a love of family history research at a young age and it continued through his college years at BYU where he graduated with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Education.

His interest in computers then led him into a professional training/support/management role with a Utah-based technology company where he worked until being recently laid off. He is now looking for new opportunities.

His passion for family history research and the growth of computer-assisted research led him to the Utah Valley Technology and Genealogy Group where he served as webmaster for more than 10 years.

He currently serves as President of the Utah Genealogical Association. He is a graduate of the National Institute on Genealogical Research and the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy.

As a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild he has been a presenter and teacher for groups ranging from just a few to several hundred participants.

He loves teaching and helping others learn all they can about using technology in researching their family history.
