I turned to TV last night instead of radio- there are some things radio is not suited for, such as showing wounds or casualties. Syria is going to be a problem area for a long time no matter who "wins" the civil war. Civil wars are often those that produce the most brutality and lack of pity. And each side is terrorised by the thought it might lose but that is between looking after the wounded and burying the dead.

What sort of oversight is there? I'm convinced the spy agency just flouts civillian law. And maintains the contrary.

A surprising number of Canadians think it's OK for the government to spy on people online. What do you think? http://theprov.in/17im9PK

"No-one is the suppository of human wisdom"- Australian opposition leader Tony Abbott, although just maybe he meant "repository" and not "suppository". Whichever works for you...

I have been uploading batches of photos over the past year and I'm not sure if they were actually displayed but some were definitely not intended for a wider public. As to the street posters, I find some buff and some boffo and some a little zeitgeisty, but I generally do not have time for bars and nightclubs except live music venues- about four times over the past year...Dweezil Zappa at the Commodore, Idan Reichel Project at the Vogue, Small Black/ Heavenly Beats at the Biltmore out in Mount Pleasant and the Vancouver Folk Festival at Jerico Park on the West Side and Fred Eaglesmith at Shorefest in a free concert on my birthday.
As Google is far from my primary account and my involvement with it sporadic, I had assumed that the complaint I received from my sister was from my Flickr account and thought she was just being a prude.
I will be a lot more careful in batching as it does not preview the photos if there are a lot, at least on mobile. My apologies.

Introduction
I grew up in two areas of Scarborough, Ontario, lived in northwest Europe, especially western Brittany, France, and London and Berlin. I've been to all ten provinces of Canada ,down the Pacific Coast of the US from Vancouver to San Diego, and to New York City and Massachussetts, and through the Irish Republic and Belgium.

I've written two as yet unpublished novels and a number of short stories and a lot of verse.

Most of my jobs have been in the financial sector in bilingual communications roles but I also worked in marketing and polling and did census work. Early on I was a specialised cost consultant in Toronto.
