As some of you know, I have three jobs. They're all 1099-type work, and they tend to fluctuate. This past month has been pretty slow for all three of them, and I find myself a good bit short on my first-of-the-month bills this month.

As many of you also know, when I hit a rough spot, I like to try to turn it around into something positive. Several of you have previously expressed interest in working with me for graphic design and / or web development, but perhaps you didn't have the budget for it at the time.

In an effort to cover my bills this week, as well as help some of you with the design and development work you need, I give you...

Pay What You Can Design Week
Monday, April 28th - Friday, May 2nd

Here's how it works:

Send me an email at, and tell me what you need designed and / or developed, in as much detail as possible, as well as how much you'd like to pay for it, and we'll discuss it. Once we've agreed on terms, you'll pay half, I'll do the work, you'll review and approve the work, you'll pay the other half, and then I'll deliver the work. Turn around times will be as quick as I can make them.

Here's what you need to know about me:

I'm a graphic designer and web developer with over eight years' experience in the field. I used to be a full time freelancer, but I've pretty much stuck to working with a couple long-term clients over the last year or so, choosing instead to dedicate about half my working time to being a massage therapist. I've worked with all kinds of clients, including people with personal projects, small business owners, tech startups, people in the fashion and entertainment industries, international companies, and more. If you'd like to see some of my work, you can find that here:

Here's the fine print:

I will politely decline offers that are unreasonably small for the requested work, of course. I may also politely decline offers for other presently unforeseen reasons. And I may end Pay What You Can Design Week early if it's unreasonably successful and I get swamped with work early in the week. :)

Please share as you feel inclined — you don't have to know me to take advantage of this offer. Please also feel free to email me with questions. Thanks!!

Graphic borrowed from Shanti Presence, because I couldn't have said it better myself. Check them out at

If any dog lovers are in the #fortmill  area Friday around noon, come out to the green way by the peach stand!!! Say hi and let me take a snapshot of your pup!
