As some of you may know, MySpace sold for the second time around the day G+ launched. (http://on.mash.to/pGCLHL
) Specific Media bought MySpace 3 weeks ago, for a far lower sum than what Newscorp paid in 2005 when I was with the company. I don't have any connection to MySpace now, and haven't for years, but I was very excited to hear that Justin Timberlake
was involved in the acquisition. (http://lat.ms/oBKhV3
) I think if the new MySpace management starts small, and focuses on a specific corner of the Internet that they can "own," then JT's star power will help to reposition the company for this new idea, whatever that idea may be. If JT says it's so, then more people will pay attention. We don't need another "suit rebranding session" you typically see on CNBC, etc, we need a SNL-style JT video to bring the sexy back. +Noel Ramos
