I just discovered that we have Google Streetview imagery of Yonezawa, Japan!  This is my parent's home town and so I wandered around the city streets and found the department store (Onuma, included a streetview link to it) that I always loved since it had a toy store on the top floor and I could buy the latest Gundam robots.  Then from there I virtually walked to my mom's childhood home, then I remembered how I walked from there to get to my dad's childhood home.  Pretty amazing.

The Bronx Zoo with +Field Trip by +Niantic Project

Yesterday, my family and friends attended Boo at the Zoo at the Bronx Zoo yesterday.  Of course, +Google Glass was in attendance.

I have +Field Trip running in the background, but for the most part it's silent (I tend not to veer too far off the beaten path in my daily travels).  But, when out and about, it's very useful.

As you can see here, it literally brought up the right information at the right time (just like their ad spot).  None of these pictures were staged (though I decided after I walked passed the buffalo exhibit to go back and take a vignette, hence the 2 minute delay in the picture).

Even making the vignette on the Whitestone Bridge was simple thanks to the easy UI/UX of +Google Glass.  I got the notification in my ear, tilted my head up, saw the notification, clicked the camera button, tapped the side twice, and done.  It took all of 2-3 seconds.  Well done +Google Glass!
