La Olla is a local restaurant which has a fun take on Mexican food. We visit La Olla once every couple of weeks. They have a great happy hour which allows us to try a few different options without breaking the bank. My favorite is the Diablos Chicos and Nachos de la Olla. My husband loves the La Olla Dog. I've pretty much tried the entire menu. My favorite go to item is the Carne Seca, I've had it as an entre, chimichange and burrito. They also provided the catering for our Halloween party and it was all our guests could talk about. I'm glad they're just around the corner from our house! Come and check them out you won't be disappointed.

There is lots of good Mexican food in Tucson but I give La Olla the 5 star rating. I live just around the corner and its hard to drag myself anywhere but here recently. The food and the service are great every time. It's hard to pick my favorite menu item because everything is good. I have had just about everything on the menu now. But just to give you a couple recommendations. The Diablos Chicos appetizer and guacamole to start then the El Grandote taco or Manchego Shrimp for entree and of course their house margarita. You won't go wrong of be unhappy.

Lured here tonight for the first time with a LivingSocial deal, was pleasantly surprised. The menu was out of the ordinary for Mexican, the taste of the food was out of this world. Quote from my spouse: "Best meal I've had in Tucson for a year". Don't expect huge portions -- if you want bulk go to Nico's. I had the #1 combo and the shrimp taco was fabulous, the carne seca out of this world. The chile relleno looked a little pale, but the flavor was outstanding with bits of green onion in the batter.

Unquestionably the best Mexican food in Tucson. The food is simply delicious. This little mom and pop cafe, with a young and energetic staff, is spotlessly clean, inviting, and friendly. We are in there one or two days each week and have always been very pleased with every aspect of our experience there. This is one of only a few casual restaurants we can recommend without fear. You will love it. Donice and George

This is the best Mexican place on the Northwest side of Tucson. Family owned by friendly people. The owner's wife makes all of the 'cheesecakes of the day' and we have not had one yet that we did not enjoy. We never leave hungry or disappointed :)

Amazing calabacitas! Everything I've ever had here was delicious and beyond my expectations. The staff and owners are friendly and the food is served promptly. I usually eat here with my husband or friends at least once a month. =)
