Yesterday, NJ Senate Democratic leaders delivered their State of Our State message, offering up an alternative to the Governor's official State of the State address.  They said that while NJ must work as one to recover from Hurricane Sandy, we should not ignore the problems that pre-date the storm, such as high unemployment, a soaring foreclosure rate, the Republican War on Women and the inability to access affordable, quality health care.

At yesterday's news conference on the true State of Our State, Senate President Steve Sweeney talks about the bipartisan spirit of cooperation in the days after Hurricane Sandy, and how the Governor has been unresponsive since, and hasn't gotten affected homeowners answers.

Following the Governor's State of the State address this week, Senate Democratic leaders, including Senate President Steve Sweeney, D-Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem, Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, D-Bergen, and Budget Committee Chairman Paul A. Sarlo, D-Bergen and Passaic, blasted the Governor for failing to include any plans in his speech about how to put New Jersey back on the right track.
