Response from the owner - a year ago
We sincerely apologize for your unfortunate experience with us. Usually the port side where everyone does fish is in the shade. Sometimes the wind and current will turn you toward the sun but that is rare. Also, on the morning trip during summer the sun will be directed at you until it rises above. If a customer requests to fish on the other side of the boat with a heavier weight sinker and squid for bait, we do try to accomodate them. It sounds like the day you went out was just an overall bad drift. On the way back to the dock the crew will scrub the boat. We ask the customers to stay on the other side while we clean. The reason we clean the boat on the way back to the dock is because we have one hour to clean the fish, get our lunch, and head back out on the next trip. Customers are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks aboard and snacks and drinks are sold at our ticket office. We provide a cooler with ice so our customers can put their food in it. We continually strive to provide quality service to all of our customers. As for one of our crew drinking a beer during a trip, that is definitely not allowed. We do not know who would do such a thing, but we have addressed the issue just to be safe. Thank you for your comments.
