What are these planes to the East of New Zealand. Possibly taken off from Wanaka?

Yep I reckon they are weather balloons. Usually they are labelled as such but are often seen on Flightradar

How long can donated organ last outside the body?

'Lung In A Box' Keeps Organs Breathing Before Transplants

The company TransMedics in Andover has developed an experimental device that keeps hearts and lungs alive while they're transported from the donor to the recipient.

Known as the Organ Care System, the device circulates blood through the lungs and pumps oxygen through the lobes. So the lungs can breathe outside the body.

The machine isn't yet approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in the U.S. But eight hospitals around the country are testing it out in a clinical trial.

A bit more of Fry and Laurie? http://bbc.in/188ykPx

Hugh Laurie says he and Stephen Fry have discussed plans to work together again. The former comedy duo "often" talk about a reunion, he told BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. But whatever they come up with, it will not be a sketch show.

The pilots were good but dont agree with the statement that the technology failed them: it kept them in the air. Also this doco makes it sound like the landing gear isnt designed to work without hydraulics when the opposite is true; they are designed to go down by gravity and lock into place.

Absolutely but I remember watching a doco about the A380 and the process had been refined making it effective.

I recently started to re-study anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology. The more I studied the more I started to question my atheism.

There are so many different processes going on in the human body and they all have to work in tandem in order for one to live from day to day. I have started to feel that it was by design and not just mere coincidence.

I used to have a faith but not a deep conviction. I have always been turned off by blind faith having watched many patients suffer because of their beliefs. Now I am starting to see that there is a God and maybe its time to start to have a relationship with him.

The food was fantastic. I had the Pork shoulder with lemon, hazelnuts, saffron gnocchi and silverbeet which was out of this world. The pork was so succulent and just fell apart with the slightest touch. Best main I have had for many a year. Finished with the Rhubarb and almond tart with hokey pokey ice cream which was sublime.

I was really looking forward to eating here after hearing so much but it failed. They just didn't seen to be on their 'A' game today, maybe short staffed in the kitchen. We had prompt service from the waitress but no explanation of the fish of the day etc. Drinks and starters came promptly. We then waited for an hour for our main courses. Even then the time between the first to be served till the last was just short of 10 minutes. The last meal to be served was the youngest of the group at seven years old. His meal was missing and when it came it was an adult version which was burned. A few seconds later his kids sized meal turned up so goodness knows who's meal that was. The meals were generally very good except my medium rare steak was rare and two of the groups rare steaks were medium. Then it got worse. My daughter asked me to taste her second fillet of fish. It worryingly tasted like it had been in contact with chemicals. To be fair the manager accepted that it tasted dodgy and they had someone else complain. She seemed to think it has something to do with kitchen grill breaking. My daughters meal was free without having to ask. Overall it was a bad experience for what should have been enjoyable birthday meal for my dads birthday.

Found this place by complete accident but really glad we found it. Good atmosphere and very accommodating. We sat at the bar and found the barman to be exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. Clam chowder was excellent, very creamy along with a slight kick. I had fish and chips, bit too much in size for me, but very tasty. Even the sea salt which had been smoked was great. Overall great experience and if in Seattle ever Asian would definitely go again.

Excellent. Suggested by the Sheraton as one of two places to go for excellent mid range food. So good, so tasty. The waitress guided us to the more popular dishes and the didn't let us down. I would suggest the Wild Ginger Flavour Duck served with steamed buns.

This place is beyong excellent. The onsite brewed beer is great and good choice. The menu has an excellent choice and not too expensive. Service was very good and they were very welcoming.
