The Heard Museum Shops have an amazing line-up of artists and experts who will be in the shop for the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market this weekend, March 7-8.  We are delighted to welcome: Victoria Adams (Southern Cheyenne/ Arapaho), Tony Abeyta (Navajo), Doug Hyde (Nez Perce/Chippewa/Assiniboine) and the incredible Virgil Ortiz (Cochiti)! We are also delighted to welcome expert American Indian art authorities: Charles King (antique pottery), Bill Faust (Loloma jewelry) and Terry Dewald (antique baskets). Native American Music Awards Artist of the Year and Five-time World Champion Hoop Dancer Tony Duncan (Apache/Arikara/Mandan/Hidatsa) will be performing at our Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market March 7-8! Tony will conduct a family oriented workshop where kids can learn hoop dancing basics and he will be performing songs from his new album with his long-time music partner Darrin Yazzie (Navajo). Experience the fast-paced precision and grace of hoop dancing at the Heard Museum World Championship Hoop Dance Contest this weekend. Over 70 top Native hoop dancers from the United States and Canada compete for cash prizes and the World Champion title. Visitors can enjoy dance performances as well as delicious frybread and other American Indian foods.

$18 adults
$13.50 seniors (65+)
$12 American Indians and Heard Museum members $7.50 for children age 4-12
FREE for children under 4

Prices include museum admission.

NOTE: Lawn seating only. Please bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on. As the high temperature in downtown Phoenix on both days of this event is expected to reach the low 80s under sunny skies, sunscreen is highly recommended. Bottled water is the only beverage that may be brought into this event.

New Times lists us as a "Must-See" this weekend and we agree! It will be a great weekend to come down for the finale of our recent acquisitions exhibit, "That's the Way I Like It!" which was juried by our museum and online visitors.
