Mike's mission is mission-driven journalism -- with a particular emphasis on local NPR stations. Makes sense, he's is a veteran news director with 12 years at KPBS in San Diego and 8 years at KPLU in Seattle. Mike was the 2012-2013 Reynolds Chair in Ethics of Entrepreneurial/Innovative Journalism at UNR, and a 2011 Stanford Knight Fellow -- where he proposed a networked system of public media innovation labs patterned on the prototype "Jacobs Lab" he designed in San Diego. Mike is past-president of PRNDI and since 2007 has been providing training, consulting and odd jobs as MVM Consulting. Mike is based in Albuquerque, NM.
