Pretentious (not upscale) Asian cuisine. Sadly, I knew from the moment I saw him that my waiter would be even more pretentious than the food. The decor is lovely, the food good enough, though my coconut rice was too sweet to eat. It's a nice date spot but if you want a truly delicious, filling meal, I'm sure you could do better.

So I have a wonderful time, great service and great food here yesterday. Everything was going good until the end of the dinner when we made our payment. Jessica an amazing yet vindictive server saw the breakdown I gave her for the two cards to be charged. She also confirmed the amounts with me, rang up the charges, and gave me two separate receipts with those charges at which point I put in her tip amount. I'm on my way to go get my coat and she runs and says, "Was the service really worth this amount?". Yes given the tip was less than the recommended amount but I did leave a tip. I go out to eat all the time, I get my hair and nails done, etc and have been called the best customer because I am nice, cordial and a good tipper. My tips are usually pretty substantial because I do appreciate good service and I show my gratitude through tips. But last night I was on a budget obviously because of the holiday season. So here's where it gets malicious, wrong, and just hurtful. The next day which is today I check my account and she charged the entire bill on my card. I call my friend and he got the entire bill charged on his card as well. We both are good tippers and good people. We were nothing but nice to her the entire time. We both work for very reputable companies as well so she made an extremely bad reputation for this restaurant. I am in the proceedings of filing a BBB report, a police report, and I am also calling my bank letting them know of this fraudulent charge. What she did was unacceptable, IMMORAL, and spiteful. And she should be ashamed of herself for stooping so low as to steal someone’s money because she didn’t get the tip she wanted.

A dinner at Ruby Foo's is guaranteed to be an enjoyable experience. The service was especially great here, and the waiters were clearly well-trained. In general, I loved the modern vibe of the restaurant. It virtually could satisfy everyone - adults, kids, and families. The menu seemed to have lots of good selections that I look forward to coming back and trying in the near future.

Last night My Husband and two teenaged Sons had wonderful meals at Ruby's Foo.. We loved our waiters, were both great. The only issue I had was that we were seated next to family with five(5) children. For the most part, they were OK. However, My chair was bumped into, drinks were spilled, and they were running around their table. The parents did absolutely nothing. We asked to be seated at another table which empty for quite sometime, only to be told that "THAT" table was reserved, that she, the Hostess would speak to the Father o the Children about the situation. Needless to say we eat our meals through all of the noise. We raised our sons and have taking them with our all over the world, London, Paris, Frankfurt and Berlin, since before they could form a complete sentence. We eat at restaurants all the time. My Sons never have and has not acted out like that at anytime. if I was loud and unfriendly to the wait staff, may be then we could have gotten seated at the quieter table. I think it does not pay to be nice. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza and this restaurant was extremely close to the hotel. I noticed that the place was voided to be one of the best placed to eat with Children (new York Kid friendliest restaurant) please do not forget about us, your well deserving customers over the age of ten(10). I' LL BE BACK. Fool me once. ETC, ETC, ETC.

We go here every year for graduate school interviews. The food is always excellent, though I'm sure we pay the Times Square up charge. However if you're going to eat somewhere touristy in Times Square, I'd recommend this place, since it's a fun atmosphere and the food is 100X better than you'll get at Fridays and the like.

Food was tasty, for the most part. The vegetable dumplings were really good, better than the pork dumplings I got. Sushi was fine, nothing amazing. Service left a little to be desired...
