We went last night for a dinner with friends. This restaurant is always full on weekends so, when trying to book reservations at 3 p.m. on Saturday for the same night, we were unable to get reservations for 6 p.m. and had to wait until 7:30 p.m. The booths are comfortable, and the bar has several television monitors for which the sound is kept muted. Although there is a lot of talking noise, the acoustics are good and seem to minimize the din. The waiters are attentive, if rushed, in such a crowd, and I left a hefty tip in response to the good service. I ordered the scallop dish with cheddar sauce on rice, which was a bit salty for my taste, and the scallops were not sizzling hot but rather seemed like they had been kept warm under lights for too long. The seafood is usually better than that. We all ordered alcoholic drinks--my raspberry Collins was excellent, and my husband's dark ale was great. We had spicy shrimp for an appetizer and it too wasn't sizzling fresh, with the sauce for that dish coming out of the kitchen a bit clotted because it didn't come right out of the skillet. My husband's fish and chips suited him fine. So I'd say that I'd give the food three out of five stars last night instead of the usual four or five stars. I like the menu because, for people who eat gluten-free like me, there are plenty of choices. We had a lovely visit with our friends, which is what we went there for, and we never felt rushed. We declined dessert because we were all too full. I had a nice cup of coffee to finish off the meal, however.

Went last night for anniversary dinner. Our food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the service was top notch. Hats off to our waiter Cody, he did a stellar job. Would definitely come back the next time we're in the area. Loved the entrees and the coconut pie and key lime pie were amazing.

We went there last night for dinner around 8:30pm and the restaurant was just about clearing up. We were seated and greeted in a timely manner, but we must have caught our server Casey on a bad night. We had brought glasses of wine from the bar, and after taking our first bang bang shrimp order, she took about 20 minutes to come and take our actual order. She didn't even actually come and check up on us during that time, so I don't think that it was because she thought we were really trying to extend our dinner there with her. Finally she came to take our order and I thought it was funny that she mentioned that she knew that we were ready 'since the menus were at the end of the table' when it had been there for a while already. So the rest of the meal proceeded to be a little weird. She actually filled my boyfriend's water twice before she noticed that mine needed to be filled as well; even if it's not completely empty, wouldn't you want to just go ahead and do it since you're already there? He had to swap glasses with me after I drank the water so I would enjoy myself a little better. I thought that you should always ask ladies first? Maybe it doesn't work that way anymore in modern day society? She really focused on him and I felt bad because she definitely picked the wrong person as the decision maker when I put my card down for the check! Being in an 80% commission based salary position, plus my greater than 5 years experience in the food and service industry, I might be a little bit more picky but I also tip very well for jobs well done. We know that it's not easy to be in the serving industry and I try to be nice ALWAYS. My boyfriend suggested perhaps it was because we were her last table and she was busy with her closing duties, thus forgetting about us. But that wasn't the case as I saw her take another table that sat down right before we were going to leave - she was closing! The food was great, but it's a pity for such a great place to allow their guests such an experience. I was very excited to go there but left very disappointed and it wasn't at all about the food. Maybe better luck next time.
