Rooms are very clean and the restrooms as well. They have great beds and pillows. The pool is great quite and private, with warm clean towels for after your swimming fun. The complimentary breakfast is OK but hey its free! Everyone is friendly and it's very family friendly. The only thing I didn't like is the $100 deposit in case you damage anything. But they do credit it back to your card a week after which is fine, as long as they are honest and return your money. I will definitely stay again.

This place has great food and great service and it's attached to a hotel. Most hotels have restaurants but you don't think about eating there unless you are staying at the hotel. I was very pleased with the staff, atmosphere and I got to meet with the owner who was very friendly, I highly recommend them.

Food was inedible, steaks tasted days old and the potatoes looked and felt like they were leftovers

I was born in OK but moved to FL when I was 8. I am now 28; both of my parents and an uncle attended OU so I was raised an OU fan but had never attended a game or had even been to Norman for that matter. After graduating law school this past year, my uncle, who is a season ticket holder, put the schedule in front of me and said "Pick". I chose the WVU game of 2013 and he put me up in the Sooner Legends hotel. As a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, I spent my first night in the Selmon Suite (which was beyond amazing) and then moved rooms to the Bob Kelsu room for the remainder of my stay. People have commented negatively on this hotel citing that the hotel caters to the "better off" and that the breakfast is sub-par (so to speak). I must say that this is not the Hyatt, however you could not find a finer hotel anywhere near campus and the breakfast is precisely an OK breakfast. The bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy were not generic. I know generic eggs from generic hotels, they put a little bit of love in them here. The fruit was quite fresh and being from FL I know fresh fruit (they also offer pancakes, and continental options such as bagels and cereal). The owner took time to have a long and wonderful conversation with my uncle and myself and extended unnecessary hospitality that you can only get from genuine Okies. They have free wi-fi, a pool,a comprehensive option of cable channels that supercede any other hotel that I have ever stayed in, a wonderful restaurant that offers the best of OK BBQ (trust me on this one) and Tex-Mex, and a bar that you can find hopping any Fri or Sat night if that is your cup of tea (karaoke included). The staff is more than hospitable, even the girl that listened to my drunken rant about Breaking Bad. There is memorabilia commemorating OU's best ranging from football to gymnastics. There are plenty of places to eat around the area, a gas station across the street if you would like to grab a snack not offered in the hotel snack stop or wet your whistle in your room, and a 24 hour snack room that includes chips, crackers, cookies, sodas, gatorades, waters, candies, and t shirts/hats. The people that speak ill of this place may have had a bad experience but I must say that I've stayed at many wonderful hotels ranging from Hyatts to Embassy's and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Norman. If you're visiting Norman, this is definitely the place to stay. The beds are out of this world comfortable, not space foam or anything special but they found a way to make it super comfortable. It's not too far from campus and I plan on making this an annual trip. Sooner Legends is where you want to be if you are coming to Norman, especially if you're visiting the campus for a game (they welcome opposing fans with open arms and OU fans coming into town alike) or to see if you or your child would like to attend. Boomer Sooner, this IS OU and this is the place to be to experience OK hospitality. In the future when I attend game day I will be certain to book this hotel early to ensure that I and those with me stay here. Thank you Sooner Legends so very much for making my 1st OU game day so wonderful, comfortable, and reminding me where I come from.

I love eating at Sooner Legends! Being from Norman and a former SOONER football athlete, my family and I love eating at Sooner Legends and revisiting all of the SOONER memorabilia inside. If you're in the Norman area I highly suggest visiting Sooner Legends. Whether you're just in town for a football game or visiting family, it is not only a great place to eat lunch or dinner, but is a great place to stay. They have awesome BBQ, weekly specials (Enchilada Thursdays**) and also provide awesome catering services. I've also heard that their karaoke nights are a lot of fun! The owner and manager, Doug Kennon, is awesome to work with and will accommodate your every need! I highly recommend adding Sooner Legends as one of your stops if you plan on visiting Norman! BOOMER SOONER!!!

Stayed here with a friend to help watch her 1 year old child while she took a test. She was under the impression me and her child would be able to stay in the room till she was done with her test. after 2 cleaning ladies knocked on our door to clean I got a call at 2pm saying check out is at 12 and they never let anyone stay past 2. I told her the situation and said I would be out as soon as I could pack up all of our stuff and the baby. she continued to "scold" me for not knowing something I was not responsible for knowing. when leaving I had to leave 2 bags in the hotel while putting the baby in their car seat but when I came back, my hotel key no longer worked. I drove to the front to check out and asked if I could get my bags. she then tried to act all nice and sympathetic after being completely rude on the phone. after I told her the baby was taking a nap she said, oh if I had known I would have let you stay. this hotel has soooooooo many rooms there was no reason for me to be rushed out and treated the way I was. it was a miscommunicate and she treated me like I was doing it on purpose. because of me being rushed out I forgot items in the fridge (the baby's sippy) and my friends really expensive pillow. I am now having to have it shipped back to my friend at who knows the cost. very frustrated with the customer service.

I have stayed in this motel for two weeks and I have had two different rooms. It appears to be an old motel with a very cheesy make over. It has an awesome theme of the "Sooners" but its kind of over kill with all the wall pictures. They could take down like 1/4 of them. Let’s start with cleanliness:. I give them an A. I put my white glove everywhere and flipped all the sheets. Couldn't find a thing. Good job house cleaning :) The rooms and hallways have that new renovated hotel smell along with the laundry but hey it’s clean! Next we will go over the front desk: I give them a B Very good friendly people dressed unprofessionally. They wear ou sweaters and shirts with blue jeans. I noticed the managers wearing slacks and ou polo shirts in their offices and I believe the front desk could adapt this apparel. Quality: C First night inside the shower (without touching it) the metal toiletry holder on the showerhead fell off. Both rooms I was in had the worse caulking job I’ve ever seen. I mean seriously? They put marble on the walls of the showers (looks nice) with sloppy clear caulking and white caulking everywhere. The red carpet is torn up and ugly. THE BEDS ARE AMAZING AND COMFY!!! If you plan on charging your laptop and cellphone good luck finding an outlet (that is not inside the bathroom area) to charge your cellphone and your laptop without unplugging a lamp. BTW room 3118 has no open outlet by the table made for office work. Seriously now?! They placed the toilet paper right above the bathroom trash can so if you unroll more than five squares of tp it’s in the can. Might I add that the toilet is so close to the tp that you can rest your arm on it? Maybe I should make a category for organization… Wifi is 2mb download speed and .45 upload. What does that mean in English to the normal person? Facebook runs great but youtube is slow and skype is not good due to the slow upload rate. Breakfast is very good! Carnivores and vegetarians eat well. Vegans beware you will eat fruit everyday no accommodations. Paint on the doors look so synthetic and you can tell it was painted over another color. Now for my biggest woe! They call it a “Fitness Center”. The center they have consist of a good tredmill, stationary bike, and an olyptical. They run great but this is not a “Fitness Center”. Please rename it something like “Cardio room” its not a center. Hotel has an outdoor pool but I was unable to swim because it was cold out. Also every room comes with a cool little deal that you can hook up any kind of audio or video deal to it and it will be on the tv. Many inputs.
