Hi everyone - I have chosen option 1 and created x2 lesson plans based around an Australian Curriculum Digital Technologies content area. Hope you enjoy viewing my lessons and find them as being valuable for use. I have created it for a grade 2 level and its around using the programs Scratch and Blockly to learn about algorithms and solving problems.

Task 2: Data- Patterns & Play  -

The Think Ahead exhibition at ScienceWorks Melbourne has these boards for data collection. You could easily make one for you class. You just need a metal whiteboard and magnetic shapes [ available at office supplies shops] You can pose daily questions, students move the magnetic shapes to what the agree with etc. This can create a large amount of student generated data very quickly!

Hi Mark, it's all good. It is an open community really. We have put in a timeline for the two assignments (the last one being end of May) but this is to ensure most assignments are submitted so everyone can engage in peer review. If you have any difficulty reaching that date, just let us know!

Growing up, I used to watch those compilations of commercials television networks would throw together to cheaply fill airtime: America's Funniest Commercials, Coolest Commercials of the Year, The Most Inexplicable Foreign Commercials You've Ever Seen.

Robots while often threatening in science fiction movies are incredibly useful for tasks that humans cannot achieve because of their size, need for oxygen, susceptibility to environmental conditions. Not only can they fly planes, they may be able to find them!

Whereas a yo-yo craze of late has been flipped learning, I prefer to talk about a "learning landscape", consisting of potential learning pathways and resources on demand anytime, anywhere. In our case we present the 'learning landscape' via Moodle. Crucial to blended learning is the visual laying out of this learning landscape: the resources and options that learners have available to them. Anyone familiar with Moodle will nod in recognitio...
