Thursday was a very successful day in court for the lawyers of Greenspan & Greenspan!

We are pleased to announce that we have won an hard fought victory for our client in Supreme Court, New York County (Manhattan). Our client''s company provided extensive services over a period of years to a law firm. The principal of the law firm promised orally and in writing that our client's bill would be paid in full. These promises were worthless as the law firm chose to pay other creditors instead of our client.

Our Client didn't get Mad. Instead, he got Mike.

We brought suit against the law firm last Fall. The law firm of course, denied that it owed our client the monies we sought and even had the Chutzpah to assert a counterclaim alleging that our client had breached the contract!

We filed a motion for summary judgment - which is an extensive written submission to the Judge setting forth the facts and law supporting our client's position. We requested that the Judge decide the case in our client's favor without having to proceed to a trial.

The motion came on for Oral Argument before the Judge on Thursday afternoon. We made our presentation and the defense made theirs.

The Judge accepted our position completely and issued an order directing the New York County Clerk to enter a judgment in favor of our client for every cent that it was owed. The Judge also awarded almost two years of prejudgment interest on the outstanding sum.

At the same time, Leon Greenspan journeyed north to Stamford, CT for a pretrial conference on a personal injury lawsuit. Leon made it clear that we were ready to proceed to trial on our client's behalf. The defendants' insurance company capitulated and agreed to settle, rather than risk a trial.
