I had the privilege of seeing this course live, which was amazing! Thanks to this self-study course, everyone can still have a chance to study with Jill Hadfield. Until midnight GMT tonight it's on sale for $19.99 (a savings of $69!). Highly recommended. https://payhip.com/itdi

I always enjoy reading the introductions at the start of a new course! Exciting to see teachers from around the world start on a learning journey together. It's magic :)

Rethink Language Practice with Jason R Levine is going to be a very special group -- it's already obvious, and the first live session doesn't even happen until Sunday! That means there's still time for you to be part of this. Amazing instructor, enthusiastic community, recorded sessions so you never miss anything, and a chance to really learn something that will help you become a better teacher. Those who can pay, do, and those who can't have access to scholarships. What's not to love? If you'd like to join us, here's the link: http://itdi.pro/itdihome/languagepractice.php

"When and how should learners practice with language? How much practice do they need to produce this language with high accuracy and fluency during classroom activities, such as role plays and guided discussions, so that they are prepared for life in English beyond the classroom?" (Jason R. Levine) A great article addressing these questions, introducing a course that will help us Rethink how we have students practice language. Starts June 28th

Today on the blog - Jon Hird, materials writer and teacher trainer, discusses inductive and deductive grammar teaching, comparing and contrasting the two, and debating the pros and cons of their use in the classroom ahead of his webinar on the topic on April 28th and 30th. http://oxelt.gl/1bnCRBm

I'm excited to be heading to Indonesia next week, and will have 3 presentations. While one is a private school training, the other 2 are open to the public. The registration for iTDi Day in Kudus closes on the 25th, however, so the deadline is soooooon :)

John Fanselow has been helping teachers transform their approaches to teaching longer than I've been a teacher. I'm thrilled to be working with him on a new course where he will tackle the way we teach vocabulary and grammar. The name of the course is Rethink Teaching, but as others who have taken courses with John have said, it's usually more a case of re-imagining or re-inventing. Definitely worth the investment of teacher time and money :)

Marcos Benevides is one of those guys who just blows me away with his ability to find innovative ways to help students learn. Starting on Sunday, he's going to be leading a course on ELT Reading Materials Design for iTDi. I've seen some of the course content, and it's brilliant (which, if you know Marcos, is no surprise!). For $49 you can learn how to teach reading like a materials designer. For $75 you can get professional evaluation and feedback on your own publishing project. I'm excited to be in the course with teachers from a dozen different countries. I hope you'll consider joining us, too! For more information and to register: http://itdi.pro/itdihome/marcos.php
