Got involved with the Holt Farmers Market after reading Animal, Vegetable,Miracle. Great book; told how a family lived for a year eating just the food they grew, or bought from local farmer's. Point? To show readers that it is possible to eat locally grown food, and it tastes better and is better for you than food that gets transported hundreds or thousands of miles, etc.
