We hope you celebrated International Day of the Girl!  We highlighted Fatuma -- a Kenyan girl with a bright smile and a big heart. On top of going to school, she takes care of family members who are in poor health. Let's celebrate her and the millions of other strong, intelligent and thoughtful girls around the world! #IDG2013

We’re on a mission to see the end of 7 Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) by 2020
Introduction
We’re on a mission to see the end of 7 Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) by 2020. And we want you to be part of it.

1 in 6 people in the developing world, including over half a billion children, have these parasitic and bacterial diseases living and breeding in their bodies.

They stop children from going to school. They stop parents from going to work. And they take away any chance these communities have of lifting themselves out of poverty. Without treatment, they can lead to lifelong disabilities and suffering.

The great news is we’ve got the solution. And it’s simple. All it takes is a packet of pills and all it costs is 50¢ to treat and protect one child for one year.

All we need now is your support so we can increase awareness, raise donations and encourage world leaders to make the elimination of these diseases an important part of their policy agendas.

Together we can see the end.
