Dear student,
If your final short story is entitled "Dairies of a Dead Girl", I will be disappointed to discover it is, in fact, about a journal and not a milkmaid.
Also, I will take off points.

I read this to Benjamin who had never heard the term before and started laughing incredulously at the examples quoted. Now he is gleefully pretending to mansplain everything to me. Sometimes his sense of humor is weird.
(I also told him I will nail him to a wall if he ever shows up on the blog.)

Spoilers. I have, thus far, written three Doctor Who posts and refrained from actually posting them, because they just weren’t interesting enough to expect other people to invest their time i...

One of my students keeps writing "vibrant" when he means visible.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Also, he keeps referring to Conan Doyle as "she". Did I miss something?

Best TA moment so far:
(I just ended section by saying a few things about the short story assignment they have the option of doing for this class)
Student 1 - "So you were talking about stories and I just wanted to let you know that it's national novel writing month-"
Me - Yeah, it's Nanowrimo.
Student 2 - Ahh, she's one of us.

Thoughts?
(If you follow Ursula Vernon, you may have run into this blog as the Narnia Deconstruction to which she was referring).

That tumblr is absolutely hysterical. Matthew and I were gasping laughing at some of the memos.
