Emotional abuse is sometimes overshadowed by the act of physical abuse from an abuser. I'm pleased to have been asked to contribute to this very important article that identifies what to look for in someone who may be struggling through such a trauma: http://bit.ly/2wrP9oK

This can cause anxiety and depression, compromise self-esteem and undermine workplace efficacy so just as we are trained to ask clients about whether or not they feel safe in their relationships, we should be asking if they feel emotionally and physically safe on the job!

Another great post with valuable information from my friend and colleague Robyn Brickel. An important lesson for clinicians and not just their clients. Have you ever overlooked the need to take care of yourself? http://bit.ly/2GffE8Q
